What is a license key

A license key is a 16-, 25-, or 32-character code provided after purchasing ATLAS.ti.

Where to find your license key

After purchasing ATLAS.ti:

  • Your license key is shown on the purchase confirmation page
  • You will also receive an order confirmation email from Cleverbridge
  • If you cannot find the email:
    • Check your spam or junk folder
    • Contact Cleverbridge at cs@cleverbridge.com

How to activate your license


  1. Go to my.atlasti.com
  2. Sign in with your ATLAS.ti account email and password
    1. If you don't have an ATLAS.ti account yet, create one first
  3. Click "Activate Product" section

  1. Copy and paste your license key
  2. Click Activate and confirm if prompted

  1. This page can also be used to activate:
    1. Invitation codes (beginning with the letter "I")
    2. Transcription minutes vouchers (beginning with the letter "C")
  2. After activation:
    1. License keys will appears under license management
    2. If you activated an invitation code, you should be able to see the license under "My invitations"
    3. After activating a transcription minutes voucher, the minutes will be added to your AI Wallet

Automatic license activation

  • In some cases, your license may be activated automatically.
    • If you already have an ATLAS.ti account and were logged in when purchasing from the ATLAS.ti website or license portal, the web shop may automatically add the license to your account. In this case, the license will already appear in the license portal, and no manual activation is required.

Common issues or mistakes

  • I purchased a license but don't see it in my account
    • If the license was not added automatically, sign in to my.atlasti.com > Activate Product and enter your license key manually
  • I did not receive the confirmation email
  • I cannot log in using my purchase email
    • Entering an email during purchase does not automatically create an ATLAS.ti account. You need to register an account separately at my.atlasti.com.
