Why is my license key not accepted in my user account?

I am entering my license key but it says it must start with "R-" or "I-". 

If your key starts with anything OTHER than R or I, for example a number, it is for an older version of ATLAS.ti and cannot be used with ATLAS.ti version 9 and newer.

We strongly recommend upgrading your license to the current version. Upgrades can be obtained online from https://upgrade.atlasti.com/, or directly from us (write to licenses@support.atlasti.com and include your license key or purchase ref. number)
