What are the differences between a student and educational license?

The software is the same in both cases, but the conditions and permitted context of use differ significantly.

A student license permits use of the program exclusively in the context of the license holder’s degree studies. Any other use, including use on behalf of a third party (e.g. in a faculty research project) is not permitted under this license type. Also, student licenses expire after six months or two years (depending on the subscription type that was chosen).

Educational licenses are reserved for officially accredited, degree-granting educational institutions and their employees for use in academic teaching and research exclusively. Please click here to read the full terms and conditions of ATLAS.ti licenses.
