License management
-
My Licenses
Under My Licenses, you can see all licenses connected to your ATLAS.ti account. Each license appears as a license card, which contains key information about that license. If you have multiple licenses linked to your account, each one will appear as a separate license card.

Inside each license card, you can find the following information:
- License type: This shows the type of license you have (e.g., student license)
- License expiration: Shows the expiration date of your license
- Subscription status: You can check if your license is active or expired
- If your license is a subscription, you may also see whether auto-renewal is enabled and when the next renewal will occur (for example, in 6 months)
- Student verification: If you purchased a student license, you will also see a link allowing you to upload your personal ID and student ID to verify your student status
- Manage Subscription: Next to the license information, you may see a Manage Subscription button. From there, you can pause, deactivate, or reactivate your subscription.
- You will also find additional license details, including:
- License Key: Beginning with the letter R
- License ID: Beginning with letter L
- Date of purchase
- ATLAS.ti version
-
My Invitations Tab
If you are part of a multi-user license or campus license, you may not see a license card under My Licenses. Instead, you will find a My Invitations section.

In the My Invitations section, you can see the licenses that you have been invited to use by someone else (e.g., your university or research team).
Within this tab, you can find:
- The name of the license owner or organization that invited you
- Contact information for the license owner
- The version of ATLAS.ti included with the license
- Access to the ATLAS.ti Desktop installer or a button that redirects you to ATLAS.ti Web
If you have been invited to more than one license, you will see multiple invitation cards, each representing a different license you can access.
-
AI Wallet
If you have a desktop license and have activated AI transcription minutes, you will find the AI Wallet section in your account.

In the AI Wallet, you can see the number of transcription minutes available under your account. This allows you to track how many minutes you can still use for AI transcription features in ATLAS.ti.
If you purchase additional transcription minutes and activate them in your account, they will also appear in the AI Wallet.
-
User ID
At the bottom of the page, you can find your ATLAS.ti User ID.

The User ID is a unique identifier associated with your ATLAS.ti account and typically starts with the letter “A” (for example: A-XXX-XXX). You may be asked to provide your User ID when contacting ATLAS.ti Support or when requesting actions such as account deletion or license assistance.
Activate product
In the Activate Product section, you can activate different types of codes associated with your ATLAS.ti account.

You can activate:
- A license key (starting with the letter R) to activate an ATLAS.ti license
- An invitation code (starting with the letter I) to join a multi-user or campus license
- A transcription minutes voucher (starting with the letter C) to add AI transcription minutes to your account
To activate a code, enter it in the Activate Product field and click "Activate". Once activated, the license or feature will appear in the relevant section of your account (such as My Licenses, My Invitations, or AI Wallet).
Manage users
If you are the administrator of a multi-user or campus license, you will see the Manage Users section below Activate Product. In this section, you can manage access to your license and invite others to use it.
From Manage Users, you can:
- Generate an invitation link or code to invite users to join your license
- View the list of invited users
- Monitor how many seats are currently in use
- Manage user access, such as blocking or unblocking a user from the license

- Restrict access by domain, allowing only users with specific email domains (for example, your organization or university domain) to join the license
- Manage AI tool availability, enabling or disabling AI features so that the AI tools are not available to users under your license

Access ATLAS.ti Desktop and Web
If you have access to a Desktop license—for example, an active free trial for Desktop, a paid Desktop license, or a valid invitation to a multi-user or campus license—you will see the following buttons at the top of your license card:
- ATLAS.ti 25 Windows
- ATLAS.ti 25 Mac
- Open ATLAS.ti Web

- The Windows and Mac buttons allow you to download the installer for the respective Desktop versions of ATLAS.ti.
- The Open ATLAS.ti Web button will open the web version of ATLAS.ti directly in your browser.
Profile & settings
In the Profile & Settings section, you can view and manage basic information associated with your ATLAS.ti account.

From this section, you can:
- Check the email address associated with your ATLAS.ti account
- Update your account password or your email address
- Change the language of the My ATLAS.ti portal
The email displayed in this section is the email currently linked to your ATLAS.ti account and licenses. This is the email you should use when signing in to ATLAS.ti or contacting support.
Common issues and mistakes
- I cannot see my license under My Licenses
- Make sure you have activated your license in your ATLAS.ti account.
- If you have already activated the license, ensure you are logged in with the email address associated with the license. The email used for the purchase is not always the same email associated with the license, especially if the license was later activated under a different ATLAS.ti account.
- I cannot find my license key
- Your license key is only displayed after the license has been activated in your account.
- If you have not activated the license yet, check the Cleverbridge Customer Center here or the order confirmation email from Cleverbridge and locate the license key there. You can then activate it in your ATLAS.ti account.
- I do not see a license card, only the My Invitations tab
- If you joined a multi-user or campus license, you may not see a license card. Instead, you will see the My Invitations tab, where you can access the license you were invited to use.
- I cannot access ATLAS.ti Desktop installers
- Desktop installers are only available if your license includes Desktop access, such as a Desktop trial, a paid Desktop license, or a valid invitation to a multi-user or campus license.
- I cannot see the Manage Users section
- The Manage Users section is only visible if you are the administrator of a multi-user or campus license. Users who were invited to a license will not see this option.
- I cannot see AI transcription minutes
- Transcription minutes will appear in the AI Wallet only if you have activated a transcription minutes voucher or purchased and activated transcription minutes in your account.
