How can I use Suggested Codes in ATLAS.ti Web?
Use Suggested Codes to automatically apply codes to parts of your data
ATLAS.ti Web's AI Coding is ideal for automatically coding entire documents. However, if you prefer manually coding your data and just need a little guidance about how to code your data, Suggested Codes is a helpful tool for quick and automatic coding.
Suggested Codes works like AI Coding, except that you apply it to a piece of text rather than the whole document.
To use Suggested Codes for a new quotation:
- Open Document Manager
- Hover your mouse over the document you want to code and click on the "Open" button
- Highlight the part of the text you want to code
- In the pop-up window, select "Suggested Codes"
- Choose from any of the suggested codes by pressing the "+" button
- Add any other desired codes by typing your codes in the "Find or create codes" field
- Click on "Quote" to create the quotation
To use Suggested Codes on an existing quotation:
- Open Document Manager
- Hover your mouse over the document you want to code and click on the "Open" button
- Click on the vertical bar of any existing quotation in the right-hand margin
- In the pop-up window, select "Suggested Codes"
- Choose from any of the suggested codes by pressing the "+" button
- Add any other desired codes by typing your codes in the "Find or create codes" field
- Click on "Done" to update the quotation
Keep in mind that the Suggested Codes tool helps guide you through the manual coding process. You are free to review all suggested codes while still making your own.
