How can we work as a team in ATLAS.ti Web?

Invite to use ATLAS.ti Web for teamwork and invite others to a project to collaborate in real time

Conducting teamwork is easier than ever with ATLAS.ti Web's live collaboration features. Choose your project, invite your team members, and each person can work on the project from their own ATLAS.ti account, and the project will be automatically saved and updated across everyone’s accounts.

ATLAS.ti Web keeps track of the author of each new entity (document, quotation, code, etc.), so you can easily see who did what. You can see each person’s avatar or initials next to each of their codings, and you never need to worry about dealing with conflicting copies or missing someone’s contributions. You can also hide their avatar or initial by selecting the three dots at the top of the document and toggling the "Author Avatars" on or off.

Here's how to invite others to your project:

  1. Go to the Project Settings of the project you want to share (click on the gear icon in the left-hand menu), or open a document and click on the "Add new project member" icon at the top
  2. Click on the “Add new project member” button and enter the person’s name and email (you can also write them a personalized message)
  3. Click “Send invitation” and wait for their confirmation
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each person you want to invite to your project

Now all of you can see and work on the project from your own ATLAS.ti Web accounts. From the Projects Overview page, you can easily see which are your projects and which are projects that have been shared with you.

Once people have been added to a project, you can see all the team members and their roles from the settings page of that project. If you have invited people to a project you created and later you want to remove someone from that project, you can easily do so from the settings page of that project. On the other hand, if you were invited to a project and you want to leave it, you can choose to leave the project from the settings page of that project.
