How can I define my research goals?
Write about your research goals, initial expectations, and methodology in memos
Before you start with a project, we recommend you define your overall research goal. Simply ask yourself the following three questions and note your answers:
- What are your initial research goals?
- What are your first expectations for the analysis of your qualitative data?
- Do you have a specific research methodology? If yes, why did you choose that?
You can use the memo function for revisiting and reflecting upon your research goals. Keep in mind that your initial goals may evolve as you carry out your analysis. You can easily update and keep track of your goals with your memo.
